40 QUESTIONS TO RANK YOUR BUSINESS PERFORMANCE

The Business Health Check is a series of questions and exercises that help you step away from your business to gain more objectivity about the impact, challenges, and opportunities you and your team are facing due to the current times we are living in. In the world of business, these times are referred to as VUCA: Volatile, Unpredictable, Complex, Ambiguous.

VUCA was first introduced as an idea in the late 1980s by the US Army War College, who used the concept to develop strategic leaders.

Gaining an objective perspective on your business will help you make decisions as you navigate through the current challenges all businesses are facing. Answering these questions for yourself and your team will give you clarity about the things that are valuable to you and your business.

As you begin to look for ways to be innovative and adapt your business, you can use this Health Check at any time for yourself and your team, and it also forms a great basis for you and JCC to work together, as and when necessary, along with JCC’s partners in finance, law, marketing, and data capturing.

So, I have designed this questionnaire so you can review your business from a high-level viewpoint and see where you need to make some changes or invest in key skills, so your business is in the best position to remain future-proof and continue to thrive into the future.

How to use the worksheet:

• Give yourself a rank out of 10 for each question and record your answer in the place provided.
• The ranking of 1 is the weakest, where your business needs the most help. Ranking 5 is the midpoint, where your business just passes. Ranking of 10 is the strongest, where your business needs no attention here.
• At the end of the questionnaire, count your total score and record it in the place provided.
